Tylor- he first used the term culture meaning table manners. He thinks all cultures would develop the same, like unilineal evolutionist: franz boas- opposite to tylor. He"s relativistic, there"s no uniform scale of culture. He rejected unilineal social evolution: functionalism- everything that happens contributes to the literal survival of the people. The trickle down effect: cosmology- a world term, that is not not secular space because everyone views, secular space/time- it"s what western people believe. Western world as bigger than reality, and are on the top half of the world. Students have to because that"s how knowledge works: exemplary center- an organization of space and power, a microcosm= universe in miniature, ex: the royal court marching in their finest gear to the guns of the invading country. One wheel= rashashannan: time repeats itself, a literal repeating of what actually occurred, ex: the bible events occurring again, when things are moving through time, punctual time- difference wheels, can"t use to count.
