Wilhelm ended the friendship with russia. this ended the germans investment in russia, so the russians the the french became allies. Great britain wanted to protect its empire with russia and french thats y they became allies. Because the same region often interests several great powers the pursuit of imperial territories inevitably led to disputes. 1. the big powers want morocco, france wants to take control over morocco but. Germany send the emperor to morocco to demonstrate interest, this makes france to go away. germany did because france and britain they were getting close and so germany was testing their friendship. 1908 bonta fate (ottoman empire) it was run through austria hungary and so russia felt that they needed someone (britain) more power support they become allies. 2. france tries to get morocco but again germany says if u take it then we want islands and they sent a gunboat to assert dominance to the port of agand.
