Evolution made us that way developmentally we need others to make it through childhood to adulthood. Cognitively we are hard-wired to look for patterns and understand the world around us. Social psychology: scientific study of how feelings, thoughts, and behaviors are influenced by social stimuli. Kurt lewin: external behavior = function of person and environment.
