Complexity of meaning: arbitrary and flexible nature of symbols, complex cognitive structure of humans (humans are a blend or rational and emotional, we have the ability to create symbols, and we have a heavy reliance on symbols. Spreading/sharing meaning: teaching, individual experience, naming new experiences (usually based on a combination of old names and experiences), mass communication. Vocalics: example- emphasis on particular words in the phrase i never said he stole the money . Fields of experience: attitudes, lessons, perceptions, and value that an individual or a group brings to a situation or problem.
