Chapter 2: know the five factors that can make the field of psychology scientific precision reliance on empirical evidence (things we can measure) Willingness to make risky predictions confirmation bias. Be open openness (free flow of ideas and full disclosure of the procedures used in a study) replicability: know the three scientific goals. Predict: know the elements of informed consent. When the researcher manipulates the factor s/he wishes to examine, while holding other (all other?) factors constant. Chapter 14: know the general adaptation syndrome stages, and know the mason factors.
