Image; the woman of willendorf ( venus ) from c. 28,000bce is one of the first known figurative sculptures and is theorized to have been used as fertility sculpture. It has been suggested that cave is metaphor for womb of mother earth. Images: ritual dance, marching warriors, changes in climate, advances in skills for hunting, provides greater evidence that humans were becoming more self-reliant, dogs are domesticated. Abilities for gathering food increase greatly: painting became smaller and appeared in shallow cave entrances.
