It has been suggested that cave is metaphor for womb of mother earth. Images: ritual dance, marching warriors, changes in climate, advances in skills for hunting, provides greater evidence that humans were becoming more self-reliant, dogs are domesticated. Abilities for gathering food increase greatly: painting became smaller and appeared in shallow cave entrances.
