Course Information

● Clicker Questions (50 points)

○ Get AAA batteries for clicker by Friday 1/27

○ 1 point for every correct response and ½ a point for every question you get wrong

■ 50 points are necessary to get the best possible score (100 points possible)

● Prelecture Quizzes (100 points)

○ First prelecture quiz is postponed until Friday 1/27

○ Normally there will be a prelecture quiz due the minute class starts each class

○ Prelecture quizzes are not mentioned in the Tentative Schedule, but there is a

prelecture quiz due each time a section is mentioned

○ 5 questions, 5 points

○ Can work on them until you get 100%

○ 26 lectures and 26 prelectures quizzes so 130 points available, but you only need

100 points to get full credit (no makeup quizzes)

○ Read the book and complete the prelecture quiz before each class

● Online Homework (150 points)

○ Beginning Monday 1/30

○ One online homework assignment completed on MyMathLab due each week at

11pm

● Worksheets (150 points)

○ Will be given in recitation every other week

○ 7 worksheets, 25 points, 175 total points, only 150 necessary

○ 5 points of worksheet grade is based on attendance and participation in recitation

○ You can still do the worksheet and turn it in in class the following Friday

○ Once the worksheet is given in recitation it can be downloaded on D2L

● Quizzes (150 points)

○ Will be given every other week in recitation starting Tuesday 1/31

○ 7 quizzes, 30 points each, lowest 2 quiz grades will be dropped (no make-ups)

● Final Exam (150 points)

○ Monday, May 8: 1:30-4:00
