                      Ethical Reasoning Evaluating Web Pages on Controversial Issues
Micheal Cook, Xavier Symons, and Carolyn Moynihan are all editors of a bioethics
website name bioedge.org. This website is a weekly newsletter about cutting-edge bioethical
issues.This bioethics website is created and maintained by volunteers and its funded by
contributors and supporters.  In addition, it is published by New Media Foundation. The editors
of this website are highly educated. Michael Cook is a Sydney journalist. He is also the editor of
the web magazine MercatorNet and is a contributor to American, Australian, and British
newspapers and magazine. The assistant editor is a philosophy graduate student in Melbourne
and the contributing editor is an Auckland Journalist and an editor for MercatorNet. Along with
the editor's biodata, the website also provides the editor's contact information and address.
According to the editors of bioedge.org, theirs aims are "to promote human dignity as the
foundation of bioethics, to promote evidence-based ethics in medicine, to show that medical
excellence is not possible without ethical principle, to provide high-quality, up-to-date
information, and to facilitate the participation of health professionals in policy debates". This
website is open to people of all ages but its intended audience are scholars, adults, and people in
the health field.
The website is a well-structured and easily navigable. It contains only Bioethics related

credible sources. The articles here come from many different sources and are written by many
different authors but they are all intended to inform the reader about Bioethical issues. The
articles are well written with good in-text-citation and supported evidence. In the beginning of
each article the author name is stated and in the end of the most article, the source of articles and
its publisher are written.  If any of the articles on this website is taken from a different website or
source, the link or the original source is provided at the end of the article to make it easier for the
reader to evaluate its credibility.
Bioedge.org keep its readers update to date with the latest bioethics issue and news. The
news is organized from to the most up to date news to the older news.  The website is organized
in a way so that it's easier for the reader to navigate. The bar on the top helps the reader navigate
through the different parts of the website. On the right upper hand corner is the search box where
users are able to find requested pieces of information in the minimum number of searches
necessary. Underneath that is the subscribe button where the reader can easily subscribe and be
up to date on the latest Bioedge newsletter. The site also has a separate box, where the readers
can be informed about the most read articles.
After evaluating the website, I can be confident that the information presented here is
objective and reliable. The information on Bioedge.org is supported with credible sources and
evidences. The editors and the author information are provided to inform the audience about who
has the ultimate responsibility for the accuracy of the content of the material. The content on the
website can be verified with the provided information and link under to every article.
