Attendance and Participation

: This class is a seminar; most classes will focus on discussion of reading

assignments. All participants—students and teacher—are expected to join the

discussion and share their

ideas. Therefore, class attendance and active participation in class discussions are

required. Two

absences from class will be permitted; additional absences will lower your grade by

as much as ½ grade

for each unexcused absence.
