They are all configured to collect, manipulate, store, and process data into info. Alot of setting of procedures and regular maintenance, esp. Information systems have 3 parts: personal is- improve individual productivity, group is- incl. Info to improve communications and support collaborations among members of a work group, ie. docs: enterprise is- org. Use for interactions for their own employees and customers. Used to perform input, processing, storage, and output activities. Data warehouse- stores large amounts of data in a form that readily supports analysis. Networks- connect in a room, building, campus, city, or globally. Public cloud computing- shared resources via the internet.
