The exam is computer based, and it will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions. Broadly speaking, 18-20 questions will come from the textbook and 20 will come from class lecture/discussion. Because there is overlap between the book and class lecture material, i will mark each section based on the overall topic and won"t separate out book questions from lecture questions. That is, the exam will have five sections newspapers/magazine, film, radio/music, television and video games and within each section will be an equal mix of questions from the book and from the lecture. I will provide the testing center with about 120 questions from which they will randomly select based on the topical categories i provide to them (for example, radio, television, video games, etc. ).
