[MTH 251] Comprehensive spring guide including any lecture notes, textbook notes and exam guides.find more resources at oneclass.com MTH251-Lecture #1-Review of Syllabus and Integration and Introduction to Integration By Parts Important Points from The Syllabus Review • The textbook we will be using is Calculus:Early Transcendentals, 8 Edition by James Stewart, which is a good book, so reading the textbook is encouraged and recommended • Professor Ro▯’s office hours are 2:▯▯-3:45P.M. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and if his door is closed he is probably in there, just knock, however if these times do not work he is also available other times if an appointment is made through email • Emailing is the best way to contact Professor Roy [email protected] • Professor Roy does not take attendance, however absences for a quiz or exam must have some documentation to prove that the absence should be excused • No calculators will ever be needed for class • For homework, Web Assign must be accessed through the MTH 251 canvas page • There will be quizzes every week on Friday, including this Friday (2/2/18), except for exam weeks • Exams will be during class on 3/02,4/04(wrong on the syllabus), and 5/04 • No laptops or large electronics should be out during class, and if Professor Roy sees someone on their phone he will ask them to leave class for the day • There is no SI for the class currently • Absolutely no cheating will be tolerated, and phones or electronics out during a quiz or a test will be deemed as cheating Substitution Review If u=g(x) is differentiable, then ′ ∫ ▯(▯ ▯ )▯ ▯▯ ▯▯ = ∫▯▯ ▯▯ if u=g▯▯▯ and du=g’▯▯▯ find more resources at oneclass.com
