Efficient systems of production allow a supply across the world transported by air or shipping, which need high amount of fossil fuels to operate. The domestic demand depends on the economic conditions. Bad: savings and so less manufacturing, fewer goods to transport and inability to purchase foreign energy supplies. Extreme weathers increase energy consumption, specially in urban areas. Winter: energy for heating and less daylight so more electric light is used. Reduce consumption, use energy from waste, education, exploit existing energy sources, transport policies and develop new resources.
