Eve is the mother of all but since she tempted adam, the virgin mary is the mother of all. We are in between both because we are evil and good. Sex object= opposite of the woman on a pedestol, once she fulfills and gives in to sex, she gets dumped. Women without men= are either ridiculed or pittied. American girls became afraid of success in school. When they couldn"t get a boyfriend, they started being silly in school and not taking their studies seriously. Most women were taught that the word virgin only applied to women. After the 70s they started being taught that virgin applied to men as well. Media has turned women into an airbrushed version of ourselves. Magazines tell us who we should be and if we"re not what they recommend, then there is something wrong with us. Women writers= have to overcome the objections of the loss of femininity.
