8/30/16 biology notes 1 administration, scientific method, statistics, primary literature. One question will be on the quiz. In-class questions not graded, groups of students address topics discussed. Occasionally: questions based on an article, video or parts thereof, link provided online. Other times: questions based only on class materials. We will talk a lot questions are discussed prior to being answered in recitation. Check for weekly assignments easy refresher-like questions. Pre-lecture assignments = due 1 minute before that day"s lecture. Assignments = due 1 day after a midterm exam for those topics covered. Makes the difference between a b+ and an a- Masteringbiology has its own gradebook (might have a delay in grading) No curve usually, but can be added in. Practice test before first exam will be available. Nearly complete lecture notes on courseweb usually on friday. Can film lecture, make sure to take notes though. Do not ask for a grade bump up.
