Picture story exercise- someone sees a picture and makes a story from that. Projective tests- examines things that commonly employs ambiguous stimuli. Thematic apperception test (tat)- narratives about ambiguous pictures. Objective tests- measures individual characteristics independent of rater bias. Factor analysis method- describe variability among factors, what do these items have in common . Empirical method- based on evidence, so experiment and observation.
