Aliefs are fear of snakes, spiders, heights, etc. Allan critiques psychiatry because it"s not sensitive to context, to proportion, or to persistence in the dsm. It"s all decontextual symptoms which leads to overdiagnosis of mental health disorders: contextually appropriate, proportionality, persistence it should dissipate over a period of time.
