3. The propensity to commit crime is stable over time
Propensity= Low Self Control
Higher propensity means lower self control
Elements of Low Self-Control:
1. Impulsivity
 Here and Now orientation
Need for immediate gratification
2. Simple Tasks
Lacks diligence, tenacity, or persistence
Prefer the easy way out
3. Risk Seeking
 Active, physical, adventurous
4. Physical Activities
 would rather be physical than do mental tasks
5. Self-centered
 insensitive to the suffering and needs of others
6. Volatile Temper
Don't maintain a consistent temper
Easily get angered
Stability:
Absolute levels of self control can change within persons
Relative rankings between persons will remain constant over the life course
