Art is a subject of study primarily concerned with human creativity and social life,
suh as laguages, literature…
Is History a science?
Science us a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths
gained through observation and experimentation.
What is historiography?
The study of the development of historical method, historical research, and writing
The methods of historical research and presentation
The history of history
How historians have interpreted the past
Difference ways of writing history
Economic history: Analyzing history from an economic point of view. For example,
they are trying to preserve the resources etc. Historians have viewed the history
from an economic perspective.
Feminist history: A typical high school textbook makes it look like 80% of history
victory was done by men.

Revisionism: Historians who take a look at something that most people would look
like as facts. Taking something as a fact and arguing maybe it is not 100% correct.
Military history: Pretty much the history of military. For example, wars, combats,
weapons etc.
World history
When studying western civilization and global history, many forms of historiography
are utilized. However, the one school of thought that dominates western civilization
is world history.
Historians would say that if you look at individual events, none of the events are
same. However, if you look at from a broad point of view the events are all similar.
Unit 1: The scientific revolution and the age of discovery
Western Europe: England, France, Spain Portugal and the Netherlands Those
countries are starting to travel, explore.
International trade starts to increase
Merchant ships are now being developed
Ships are not just being built for battle but rather for trade
