The visual image (leaf, sun, light, etc) goes through the lense to the back of the eye and travels through the optic nerve. Retina: part of the back of the eye that contains a large amount of neurons (light sensitive) Fovea: part of the retina that contains different cones and rods. Rods: see blacks, greys, and whites during dim lights. When light goes through different visual fields it goes through both eyes, but only shows up on part of the eye/half of the eye. Sensation happens very fast; faster than perception. Bottom-up processing: analysis that starts from the bottom (sensations) and works its way to the top.
