Incommensurability: there may be some aspect, or value, or belief, or behavior found in one culture that is very difficult for outsiders to understand. Anthropologists cannot agree on any one definition of culture. Culture can refer to a society"s traditions, food, art, music, language, slang, architecture, style of housing, etc. Culture - a system of meaning embedded in symbols. For example, one normally would not order a taco at a chinese restaurant because in western culture, food like tacos are considered to be symbolic of mexican food/culture. In american culture, it is typical to wear black clothing as it is symbolic of mourning. East asian cultures, it is typical to wear white clothing as it is symbolic of grief.
