Infrequent observation: grandparents do not see cont. development , sitting, few months later, walking. *development is stagelike compared to mom and grandparent on child. Passive: infants are acted upon by others; they do not expect any in uence by their surroundings: just sitting like lumps, active: infants respond to individuals and items in their environment, child is playing with pots and pans. Sleeping habits in infancy: common to co sleep- collectivistic culture, however it is not very common in the us.
