Inductive (approach) logic begins by collecting evidence/data, then developing images/social types, then analytic frames, and developing ideas/grounded social theories. Deductive (approach) logic beings by studying relevant literature, forming a hypothesis, developing a research design, collect and analyze data, write up results, and repeating the process. Ethnographic data collection and analysis data collection process is an interview with emphasis on making it a conversation, using a topic guide not list of questions. Continue data collection thru the funnel technique from general to speci c. Analysis beings with identifying details that produce variance in behavior. Ethnography is qualitative research and the study of cultural meaning using inductive logic in data collection which focuses on the subjects concepts rather than the researcher. The objective is to carefully document both the practices and purposes of behavior, values, beliefs, and attitudes in specific social settings.
