Document Summary

The final is monday, march 14th, from 3:00pm 6:00pm. This exam will be part multiple-choice and part free-response. The concepts on this review sheet are more pared down than the midterm review sheets (for material prior to chapter 12); anything that is not on this review sheet will not be covered on the exam. Random assignment (not the same as random sampling!) Types of graphs: histogram, bar graph, polygon (line graph), scatterplot. Shape of a distribution: positively/negatively skewed, symmetrical (no skew) th edition, chapter 3): Calculating new mean after changes/additions/deletions from the distribution. Calculate the variance/standard deviation (for a population and for a sample) Also useful: review exercises on page 119 (8th edition) (part i: summary in e-book) Effects of a z-score transformation on a distribution.
