Social: looks at the behaviorism, but integrates gestalt psych by looking at the importance of how people think or feel about a situation. Behaviorism: not focused on the thoughts or feeling of the situation, focused on how rewards or punishments will affect the behavior. Basically, when there are more people around this thing called diffusion of responsibility happens where everyone thinks that they do not need to help because someone else will probably do it. When there are less people around you are more likely to get help. Researches observe a group from within or trained observers watch subjects unobtrusively from the outside. Or someone examines accumulated documents of a culture. Systematically measuring the relationship between two or more variables.
