Our society is : heterocentric/ heteronormative and ciscentric/ cisnormative, assumptions of hetrosexuality and cisgender, education is biased, dichotomous, binary structure, medical forms, washrooms, gym classes, sports teams, toy store aisles. Advice: if it is unclear- ask what pronouns they prefer. Measuring sexual orientation: kinsey (1948) believed that relying on the categories homosexual and hetrosexual was inadequate, kinsey continuum (0-6) (hetrosexual- homosexual) Prevalence: kinsey (1948) reported, 37% men and 13% of women reported at least one adult sexual experience with a member of same sex that resulted in orgasm, 4% of men and 3% of women homosexual.
