Evidence-based practice (EBP) a practice with research and evidence
based on a topic.
Critical Thinking in EBP:
Process behind EBP is critical thinking.

It is easy to get into practice in an agency and just do what you are

Steps in EBP:
1. Come up with question to answer a need for your practice?
Focus question, be specific
Whats the best way?
What do we know?
What factors are there?
What was it like for this person to have had this experience?
Can have questions about effectiveness, predictors of consequences
(desirable or not), understanding client experiences, and assessment
tools.
Evaluation can be considered a subset of research.
Distinguishing the EBP Process from Evidence Based Practices:
EBP process is the 6 steps.
Evidence based practices are programs, policies, or interventions that
have been empirically supported.
