This is not a course where there will be a lot memorizing of formulas etc. We will try to teach you about concepts, ideas and the important principles of physics. You will be required to apply these to problems. If you make this level of commitment you will learn a lot of physics and not have trouble passing. This policy is becoming more widespread, especially in this department as it help insure that most of your attention is on the material at hand. Prepare for class; read material in the text before the lecture. Then read the material again after class discussions of the topics. Some of the clicker questions will be on the reading assignment. Don"t miss class; downloading the notes is not equivalent. I pose questions on the screen during lecture. I display a graph with the class results on the screen.
