Female circumcision (especially without anesthesia), slavery, treatment of the infirm or elderly, racism, sexism, or discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation: hard to deny. It just makes an empirical claim about people s attitudes. It does not pass judgment on whether any or all of those attitudes are correct. It is thus compatible with the view that there is a right answer to questions about morality. It does not push you one way or another.
