If you don"t have caste determined by birth (before classical hinduism) it is all personal choice not as big paradox. Suffering, it comes with negative appreciation of this world. Hinduism - you can pursue the desires if you want and then you can go for moksa in another life. Yoga is an application to balance the three gunas. The sensory world in hinduism only pertains to this 1/4 of brahman, when you return to brahman you are part of the whole and wouldn"t have senses. Vedism 1 - sacrifice to them, they were very powerful compared to humans, but this soon changed.
