Public law 94-142, part b of the education for all handicapped children. They are services necessary to ensure students with a disability benefit from their educational experience. I think the most important of the eight parent safeguards and involvement are the given written consent relating the setting the child will receive their special education and related services. This is important to me because a parent has the right to know about the kind of setting their child will be learning in and what kind of services they are being provided. Students with a disability has the right to learn in an environment with their academic, social, and physical needs: summarize the list of placements from most inclusive to least inclusive (please feel free to paraphrase): Students are placed in a general classroom with no additional or specialized assistance. Students are placed in a general classroom with a special education teacher as an assistant to classroom teacher.
