Often develop in childhood and stabilize around age 11. Alameda county study: 7 good health habits: sleeping 7-8 hours a night, not smoking, eating breakfast, having no more than 1-2 alcoholic drinks, getting regular exercise, not eating between meals, being no more than 10% overweight. More good health habits, less illnesses, lower mortality.
