Lang thought to be symbolic and rule based. Fueled by an innate general predisposition of the brain to learn and be shaped by experience and is further pushed by communicative needs as the organism interacts with the environment. Lang thought to be learned and used through the same cognitive architecture humans have at their disposal for acquisition and use of other kinds of knowledge.
