Anthropology can be defined as the study of human nature, human society, human language and human past (plsn). This study aims to describe what it means to be human. Archeologists try to reconstruct the old ways of living using traces left behind whereas anthropologists want to reconstruct the origin of the human species. The way anthropologist study human life, includes 4 different approaches (chef) Holistic: all aspects of human life intersect with one another in complex ways. Holism is a characteristic from the anthropological perspective that describes how anthropology tries to intergrade all aspects of human beings. Therefore, anthropology is the holistic study of human beings. In order to study humans, they need evidence from many human societies (insects). Comparing human diets in different societies, we realize that eating insects in quite common. Anthropology is also a field based study meaning that the data collected takes place in direct contact with people, sites or the animals.
