Over-exaggeration has caused people to believe that we are more currently far more violent nowadays then we were in the past, which is not the case. New forms of mass-violence is more present in recent times then our past (war, genocide, terrorism) 1: extrastate: government vs. other country, entrastate: state vs. insider. Civil wars cause the most amount of violence. Meritocracy: government or the holding of power by people selected on the basis of their ability, a ruling or influential class of educated or skilled people. Meritocracy began to increase in africa and north asia. A systematic attempt to cause the annihilation in whole or in part of an independent political and social entity: political group genocide. Deliberate physical destruction of a group whose members share the main characteristic of belonging to a political movement. An action which irreparably damages a person"s own political career. During genocides, people are killed due to organized grouping.
