Test norms- standardized for of measure of a sample of one"s behavior asses intellectual potential rather than current knowledge assess specific types of mental abilities. Used for measuring individual differences among people. Measure various aspects of one"s personality test persons mastery and knowledge of specific subjects current knowledge like motive, interests, attitudes, etc. Percentile score- percentage of people that scored at or below your score. Test-retest- one takes the same tests maybe weeks apart, the scores are compared to evaluate the reliability of the test. Correlation coefficient- numerical index of the degree of relationship btw two variables. Validity- the tests ability to accurately measure what it is supposed to. Content validity- degree of which the test and its contents reflect the domain it supposed to. Criterion-related validity- comparing one"s score on a test and a independent criterion of the trait being assessed in the first test. Wissler tested uni students and results did not correlate with grades.
