The social construction of medical knowledge reflect and reproduce inequalities in gender, class, race, and ethnicity. Social epidemiology is the study of the causes and distribution of diseases. Status of global health look at ways politics and wealth shape access to health care, and it shows which populations are most affected by health disparities. Health in high-income nations rise in obesity rates, depression. High infant mortality rate and low life average span. Non european immigrants have better health that native canadians.
