Analyzes the way things world in the world to gain understanding of god. It takes a very different approach than the other materials because many typical themes (promises to ancesors abraham, isaac and jacob) or of the exodus are not present. Learning from experience: wisdom writers discerns the word of god in a way that is different from p(cid:396)ophets. (cid:862)thus says the lo(cid:396)d(cid:863). Writers of israelite wisdom traditions believe that god is responsible for the patterns of life they see and so they trust in those patterns becomes a form of faith in god. In wisdom literature: things do not always work as they should (the wicked are successful and good people suffer) Book"s (cid:396)eal fu(cid:374)(cid:272)tio(cid:374) is to (cid:396)aise the (cid:395)uestio(cid:374) (cid:862) (cid:449)hy (cid:271)ad thi(cid:374)gs happe(cid:374) to good people(cid:863) = theodi(cid:272)y.
