Not possible to determine what exact period people began to live in the historical stage we call korea, but in general it"s expected that paleolithic man began to inhabit the. Neolithic man (characterized by the making of polished stone tools and the use of pottery) appeared in korea about 4000 b. c. Neolithic inhabitants = same ethnic stock as those who lived in siberia. : people who used pottery with geometric designs ( comb pattern pottery ) appeared in korean peninsula.
