Position of the patient when breathing (copd : tripod position) Skin color, consistent with genetic background, no cyanosis or pallor, no lesions ( smoker : cyanosis maybe they dont need oxygen, they need to increase the production of rbc) Accessory muscles (trapezius, scalenus, sternomastoid, external, internal intercostal, diaphragm) Pectus excavatum : self estime, comprime heart and lungs (prominent sternum)
