In other words, people (observers) are more inclined to think that outliers (actors) are singular because of something they have in themselves. The actor is more inclined to atribute the same acion to situaional factors. We will understand in this chapter the process of causal atribuion for events: how people understand why others, as well as they themselves, behave they do. A causal atribuion is the construal process people use to explain both their own and other"s behavior. It"s the process of linking an event to a cause, such as inferring that a personality trait is responsible for a behavior.
