Religious rituals: when the repetitive sequence involves the manipulation of religious symbols such as prayers, offerings and readings of sacred literature. Two basic properties are ritual and myth: ritual is tied to myth because myth may give the reason to perform the ritual, myth is reflected in the ritual itself. Myths: everyone in a community is aware of their myths and the basic truths of their religious system. Prescriptive: rituals that are required to be performed requirement may due to religious texts.
