Summarizes his or her personal style of dealing with the world. Dispositional approach- focuses on individual dispositions and personality: individuals posses stable traits or characteristics that influence their attitudes and behaviors, individuals are predisposed to behave in certain ways. Situational approach- characteristics of the organizational setting, such as rewards and punishment, influence people feelings, attitudes, and behavior. Interactionist approach- organizational behavior is a function of both approaches. Extraversion- the extent to which a person is outgoing vs shy (high, low) Emotional stability/neuroticism- the degree to which a person has appropriate emotional control (self-confidence, doubt, depression: predictor of motivation, predictor of job satisfaction. Agreeableness- the extent to which a person is friendly and approachable.
