Allows you to create fields, tables and table relationships. Allows you to add, delete and manipulate records. Has a built-in query language which lets you obtain answers to the questions you have about your data. Contains built-in report generator, which lets you format reports from your data in terms of professional-looking. It protects database through security, back-up etc. In other words, it gives the system strength. Common field (aka join field) is when data of two tables share common records. Data entered are immediately stored into the database. Table design such as field names and characteristics of a field are not. Database are listed in a navigation pane. Data is ordered in ascending or descending order based off the data in the primary key field. When records are entered into a table, the data is not ordered in primary key order until you have closed the table or switch views.
