Pharmeceuticalizationl the transformation of human conditions, capacities or capabilities into pharmaceutical matters of treatment or enhancement: geneticization: capture the impact of the growing interest in genetics on how we understand health and illness. 4: medicalization depoliticizes behaviours as it stops us from considering the possibilities that the behaviours may be deliberate, an intentional repudiation of exiting political arrangements", demedicalization: diseases being redefined as normal.
