Identification: the process of acquiring the values, the knowledge and developing the attitudes, skills, and behaviors to live in harmony with oneself, with others, and with the natural environment. Peace studies seeks to understand the negation of violence through conflict transformation, cooperation and harmony by drawing from many disciplines, including psychology, sociology and anthropology, political science, economics, international relations, international law and history. Ian harris: peace education attempts to draw out of people their natural desire to live in peace. It involves learning about different forms of violence as well as alternatives to violence . These pedagogical activities move students away from ways of thinking and acting that promote a warring world to ways of behaving that create a peaceful global order. Systematic research on the causes of war and violence, and the conditions of peace, and the possible relationships between them.
