Ireadings 8 canadian charter of rights and freedoms. The charter guarantees the rights / freedoms set out in reasonable limits prescribed by law. These rights and freedoms can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society. Includes the constitutions acts of 1867 and 1982. All canadian citizens have the right to vote. No assembly can continue for longer than 5 years: special circumstance in times or war or invasion: may continue to rule beyond 5 years. Must be sitting parliament / of legislature at least once every 12 months. All citizens have a right to enter / remain / exit canada. Every permanent resident has the right to move and live in any province and work in any province. Limitations: laws needing reasonable residency requirements as qualification. Rights to life, liberty and security of person cannot be deprived of except in accordance with the princples of justice. Right to be secure against unreasonable search.
