People define religion too narrowly from their own background and culture. May define religion as their own beliefs. Other beliefs are not religion but misguided beliefs or negative labels. Religion may be defined as obligatory practises with prohibitions and particular beliefs. Exclude aspects found in certain world religions that question beliefs and practices. Some religions want you to question their faith and others don"t. Broad definition of faith: being grasped by an ultimate concern. Being grasped means some greater force taking ahold of you and providing perspective on what they think is most valuable and meaningful in existence. The thoughts, beliefs, and values that shape the character of their lives, which they base their most important decisions, and for which they may even give up their lives for. It also defines a woman"s preoccupation who has a lot of wealth or power as her religion or man"s concern with beauty or the well-being of his children as his religion.
