Pro-social behaviour: any act performed with the goal of benefiting another person. Altruistic behaviour: helping others even at a cost to oneself. My sister would most likely have the same gene. If i die, the gene would continue to be passed on through her children. The more closely you are related to someone the more you are willing to help them in everyday life or life and death situations. Healthy in a life or death situation: more likely to help them. They"re already sick and going to die anyway. There is less that you can actually do to help the person. Going to save the person who can survive and pass along their genes, or within a family my genes : genetic heritability, needs. Fire: reciprocity: i"m more willing to help you, if you help me. People who indicate higher levels of empathy are more likely to help someone because they can relate.
