Average annual temperature is about 50 degrees fahrenheit. Average yearly rainfall is between 30 to 60 cm. Many trees contain sap to protect their roots from freezing in the winter. Many of the animals hibernate in winter. Many are also camouflaged to look like the ground to avoid predation. There is great temperate invertebrates example, broadwinged present. We will look at butterflies, wolves, mice, and deer. richness: diversity of life in the forest ranging from to vertebrates. The ways in which human activity has the temperate forest: Humans impact the temperate forest of land area due to the soil being very rich within the forests which makes it good for agricultural production. Humans also clear forest areas due to logging. Wolves are carnivores that prey on large animals like deer but also small rodents like mice. Deer are herbivores that eat plants that a butterfly may pollinate.
